Quality Control Our procedures and equipment ensures that all the work we produce is of the highest quality.

We have a fully documented system of in process and find inspection procedures which are rigorously implemented to ensure all components are manufactured to tolerances given, giving complete confidence and piece of mind to all our customers.

Saxon can boast the utilisation of the Kemco 400 CNC Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) which is capable of inspecting components to 5 microns repeatability in our temperature controlled facillity. It is retrofitted with QCT measuring software ensuring reliability and helps reduce programing times.

Our CMM is serviced and maintained yearly guaranteeing accuracy and performance.

Our workshop gauging and measuring equipment, including dial and digital verniers, micrometers, depth mics etc., are standard equipment for our engineers all of whom have the full use of our dedicated inspection departments instruments such as Bowers bore micrometers, calibrated imperial and metric slip gauges and Trimos height gauges.

As part of our ISO 9001 accreditation all equipment is fully calibrated and certified.

In process inspection and final inspection of all components are carried out in house and, again as part of ISO 9001, are fully traceable from material purchased to programmer to operator to inspection to goods outbound.

Cairn Research Ltd. has been using Saxon Engineering for well over a decade now. Our requirement is for precision metalwork for incorporation into scientific instrumentation products(www.cairn-research.co.uk).

Although this was not previously a Saxon speciality, they already had machines capable of working to the tolerances we require, and a most productive relationship soon developed. We are therefore very pleased to recommend them for doing this type of work.
